Kumeu Art in the Garden 6-7 November 2010

“We wanted to create an event that could raise national and international awareness of what amazing creative people we have in this region, and what better gallery than some of the most beautiful gardens in the area?” says Graham McIntyre; founder of the event, and owner of LJ Hooker Kumeu, one of the larger real estate companies in the region.

Kumeu Art in the Garden raises funds for charity. The beneficiaries will be Rotary Kumeu, with proceeds split between Kumeu Community Patrol, West Auckland Hospice and Kumeu Volunteer Fire. Organisers are hoping to raise over $20,000 through ticket sales and the purchase of art works.

$20 per ticket for the festival (early bird to 30-September 2010).

Children 5years+ accompanied by an adult are $10 per ticket.

Every year Kumeu has a Best Garden competition which is supported by LJ Hooker Kumeu, Westpac and the Weekend Gardener magazine. Some of the region’s very best gardens are entered into the competition, and it is from these that the magnificent gardens in this year’s Kumeu Art in the Garden Festival have been selected.

Tickets to this event are limited due to parking and road control – we strongly urge you to book early to avoid disappointment. Contact the Kumeu Visitor Information Centre by email or by phone on 09 412 9886.
