There are lots of events happening out West for the Best of the West Festival. 

Helensville runs from 11 September - 8 October

Kumeu runs from 9 -15 October

The first half of the 'Best of the West Festival will be kicking off in Helensville on 8th October, and the second half in Kumeu on 9th October.

Held every four years, the third-biggest sporting event in the world is coming to NZ and is Auckland’s chance to showcase itself on the global stage.

We want to make sure all visitors leave our shores having enjoyed  their stay here so Helensville and Kumeu Wine Country are proud to present the 'Best of the West' Festival which will showcase our wonderful scenery, hospitable people, innovative businesses and artisan producers.

Helensville will Kick Off the Best of the West festival on the 11th September with their Heritage Festival - see all their events here

Then the event moves over to Kumeu for the 'Second Half ' from 9th -15th October 2011 and kicks off with a  FREE family event at the Kumeu Showgrounds on Sunday 9th October. 

Commencing at 10am and finishing at 10pm,  this free, fun filled day promises to be be an excellent day out for all the family.
